Quilting thoughts and ideas and wonderful places to find inspiration
This page is under constant adjustments - hopefully for the better!
Laughing in the Cabin Quilt Retreat takes place every April in Mazama, WA at the wonderful Mazama Country Inn. The retreat offers an opportunity to escape the everyday distractions and get together with quilters for a quiet and productive weekend. The setting is beautiful, secluded and perfect for a weekend with friends - new and old. Sew on projects of your own choosing, there is no schedule or class next year - it is more fun to see what everyone has on their project list. Please contact me if interested, we fill up every year - it is a small facility, so we only have space for 24 campers. Dates for 2012 are April 13, 14 & 15 - more information and brochures will be available soon - keep watching for updates! There are still a couple openings as of
2/14/12 !!
Classes are scheduled throughout Northeast Oregon and Southwest Washington for the Spring months - only a few dates are still available - it is wonderful to share with students and make new friends. New ideas are developing on the sewing table, so check in now and then to see what is new.....ideas that will not be classes are going on the gallery page.
Apologies are in order to the members of the Seaport guild in Lewiston - they did a fantastic job in class, and I forgot my camera - take my word for it, they turned out some fabulous Two + 2 tops during the two day class. Thanks ladies!!!!
I find that the older I get, the more challenges I can sew,
my friends are cut from the straight of grain; no bias that stretches and disappoints, no ravelling, no pilling,
perhaps some color has faded in our lives on the outside, we are richer and deeper on the inside, thanks to the passing years......11/14/11
